Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the Victoris SUV in India. The Victoris remains an Arena product, and therefore, it sits over Brezza in the company's line-up. The automaker is using the 'Got It All' tagline for the Victoris, and the feature list ensures the claim stands tall. Maruti Suzuki will soon start accepting orders for the SUV, followed by a price announcement soon. The flagship Arena product - Victoris, will give a tough fight to the mid-size SUV space.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris: Safety
Always questioned in this aspect, Maruti Suzuki has trumped the cards here with a 5-star BNCAP crash test rating. The Victoris comes equipped with 6 airbags as standard. For the first time ever, Maruti Suzuki is offering Level-2 ADAS in the Indian market, and it starts from the Victoris.
The ADAS suite brings automatic emergency brake, adaptive cruise control with curve speed reduction, lane keep assist, high beam assist, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitor with lane change alert and more.
The Victoris also gets disc brakes on all ends, along with an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris: Design & Colours
The overall styling remains largely appealing, without any element being over-designed. The front-end gets an e-Vitara-inspired face. It put to use a blacked-out lower-half with the top-half donning the body paint. The slender LED headlamps are connected with a thin chrome ribbon in between. Also, the bumper houses foglamps, which are a little high-set.
Around the sides, it manages to give away its length quite easily, thanks to a large quarter glass. It also gets 17-inch aero-cut alloy wheels with a turbine-like design. Around the rear, it gets connected LED tail lamps, which are done in a scattered fashion for the glow pattern, unlike any other Maruti on sale.
As for the dimensions, the Victoris is 4,360 mm long, 1,655 mm wide, and 1,795 mm tall. The wheelbase measures 2,600 mm. Talking of colour options, the Victoris is available in 10 (3 dual tone and 7 monotone) colour options, including the two new colour options - Mystic Green and Eternal Blue.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris: Interior & Features
The Maruti Suzuki Victoris features a 3-layer dashboard with black and ivory dual-tone interiors, with a soft-touch instrument panel. Furthermore, textured seat upholstery and piano black accents add to the premium in-cabin experience. The Victoris gets a more practical setup for the boot space, even in its S-CNG guise, as the CNG cylinder is moved under the floor.
Coming down to features, the Victoris comes loaded with a larger 10.1-inch Smartplay Pro-X touchscreen infotainment unit, paired to an 8-speaker Infinity sound system with 5.1 channel Dolby Atmos surround sound. Another display on the dashboard is a 10.25-inch instrument cluster - a first for any Maruti Suzuki car so far. The Hyundai Creta rival further gets a 64-colour ambient lighting and a PM2.5 air filter.
In addition, the list comprises a hands-free gesture-controlled powered tailgate, an 8-way powered drive seat, ventilated front seats, a wireless smartphone charger, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a 360-degree camera, front & rear parking sensors and more.
