Lamborghini Urus release date Confirmed

Lamborghini has confirmed the release date for the Urus, the manufacturer's brand-new SUV, for December 4th 2017.

The Urus marks a new era of manufacturing for the Italian car manufacturer. It is the first vehicle they are bringing into production.

It follows similar moves from other luxury car manufacturers, notably Bentley with the Bentayga and Rolls Royce with the Cullinan.

The SUV market is one of the most popular markets worldwide – and it’s still growing.
It is increasingly becoming clear that luxury car manufacturers do not want to be left behind with this trend.

Urus will be unveiled on December 4th in Sant’Agata Bolognese, where the company originated.

Details about the upcoming SUV are still a little thin on the ground, with Lamborghini largely keeping it under wraps.

However, the automaker has revealed a few tidbits about its new vehicle.
What has been confirmed is that the brand-new SUV will be powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine, which should generate somewhere around 650 horsepower.

The car will share the same platform as with the Audi Q7 and Bentley Bentayga and and will use the same 48V-powered active anti-roll suspension.

Pricing for the al-new Lambo is set to be around the £200,000 mark.

Earlier this year in a company statement, Lamborghini President Stephan Winkelmann said: "This is a proud moment for everybody in Lamborghini.

"The introduction of a third model line endorses the stable and sustainable growth of the company and signifies for us the beginning of a new era."

He adds: "The new SUV will be made in Sant'Agata Bolognese, demonstrating our commitment to safeguarding the values of 'Made in Italy' worldwide."
