Mercedes-Benz Teases the Next Generation G-Class

Mercedes-Benz is saying farewell to its classic G-Class with limited edition models, as a newer variation of the beloved vehicle will be unveiled this year.

Recently, the German automaker revealed a prototype of the forthcoming design that is punctuated by its camouflaged wrapped exterior. In addition, the vehicle’s iconic boxy shape has remained intact, however, it’s a bit more refined with smoother edges as seen along the grille and headlights.

Other notable details of this upcoming modern G-Class is its off-road capability, with three 100% differential lock features, as well as a low-range off-road ratio, an AMG-developed independent suspension with double-wishbone front axle and a rigid rear axle. A new “G-Mode” off-road driving mode, 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission and permanent all-wheel-drive are also standout features.
