Rezvani Motors, the company that will sell you a
Lotus-based, 400 horsepower sports car with a fiberglass body for a little
under $100,000 came up with a new product for those who prefer not to worry
about speed bumps or tall curbs. Or, in fact, anything else, since the Tank
will be available with a 6-inch lift kit and "optional ballistic armor
protection."
Starting at $178,000, the Tank is powered by a 6.4 Hemi
tuned to produce 500 horsepower. All of which will be needed to rotate its
massive 37” x 13.5 inch Toyo Open Country M/T tires.
The lower level off-road package includes a six-inch lift,
37 x 12.5 inch tires, a Dynatrac ProRock 44/60 axle set with electronic
lockers, as well as 1350 driveshafts front and rear, and 2.5 inch remote
reservoir shocks from Fox. Those looking for more can opt for 37 x 13.5 inch
tires, a Dynatrac ProRock XD60/80 axle set complete with air lockers and an air
compressor, as well as 1410 driveshafts at the rear, Dynatrac's ProGrip brake
kit and Fox's 2.5 inch internal bypass shocks with DSC.
Other goodies include an integrated LED bar, head-up
display, a full leather interior, powered suicide doors and Flir's
thermal/night vision system. Because deers can be a menace.
If something about the Tank makes you think of the Jeep
Wrangler, that's because the frame is a modified version of the one underneath
the Rubicon Unlimited. Rezvani did this to ensure global road legal status and
make sure that the cost of maintenance was kept low.
